Family Fun at Crab Island
This sandbar is located just under the harbor bridge. Boats, pontoons, jetskiis and paddle boards are popular ways to get here. It’s a really a fun place to go for a few hours or the whole day. You are sure to find other vacationers hanging around playing volleyball, frisbee or, football, or just floating around. It’s a family friendly environment, and can be quite the hopping place during peak season. Find a way to get there if at all possible.

Set aside at least half of a day to explore the shops and activities in Harborwalk Village. After shopping and exploring, grab a bite at Harry T’s or Aj’s Seafood and Oyster House.
It’s a bit of a hike to get out to the jetty, but it’s a local favorite for fishing and shelling. The sun sets directly behind the jetty and across the bay. Grap your camera if you’ll be there at sunset! It’s accessible from the beach or the O’steen Beach Access point.

Gulfarium Marine Adventure Park
Located just across the bridge in Fort Walton Beach, the Gulfarium is a great place to learn about sea life and see some great exhibits. General admission includes all of the exhibits, shows and training demonstrations. Animal encounters such as dolphin splash, breakfast with dolphins and reptile safari are available for an additional fee.
Silver Sands Premium Outlet Mall
Another favorite shopping spot is this outlet mall. Located east of Destin, near Miramar Beach, they have all the favorite outlet shops. Nike, Under Armor, Kate Spade, Columbia, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory are just a few of the wonderful choices you have.
San Destin and Regatta Bay are two of the better known golf destinations in Destin. However, there are many more golf options available. Bring your clubs or rent theirs, either way, you will have a beautiful day on the links.

Visit the armament museum to get a first hand look at the weaponry used from the early days of WW1 all the way through the present. They even have a display of the fastest jet ever built: The SR-71 Blackbird Admission is FREE for everyone!
