Destin’s annual Harbor Boat Parade and fireworks show is set for Sunday night, December 9, 2018. This unique family friendly event combines our favorite activities all in one place. What’s not to love about a parade, Christmas lights, Santa, shopping, dining, music and fireworks?
Come on down to the harbor to see this fun display of Destin’s finest boats and yachts lit up with Christmas lights. Beginning at 1:00, children can visit Santa, followed by a performance of the Nutcracker from the Ballet Conservatory of the Destin School of Music & Dance at 4:45.
Destin Harbor will be lit up with boats beginning at 6:00. Everything from the pirate ship to local yachts and small watercraft will parade through the harbor and out to the gulf entrance near the jetty, for all to enjoy. Boat owners adorn their vessels with lights, decorations, and blow up figures. If you’re lucky, you might spot Santa Clause himself.
Round out the evening with the fireworks after the parade, and a fire spinning show on the main stage at Harborwalk Village.
You can view the show from a restaurant on the harbor, Noriega point, on the bridge, or across the bridge on the dunes. Even the grinchiest of grinches will be jolly tonight. The fantastic parade is sure to get everyone in the Christmas spirit!
Also, help out victims of Hurricane Michael this holiday season by donating blankets, sleeping bags, cleaning supplies and toiletries. Harborwalk Village gives donations to the Panhandle Relief fund.
